Thank you very much for inviting me to judge Portuguese Waterdogs in Norway! I know that you have a high standard in this breed.
I have been involved with dog breeding and dog showing over 50 years. I started with Dalmatians, that’s why my kennel name is Caballus (comes from the Latin name of horse). From 1986 I have owned and bred Curly Coated Retrievers which is my main breed. Currently I have two males and one female at home. I am happy to have bitches for breeding living with my friends. I have also bred Gordon Setters and Jack Rusell Terriers from Australian lines.
My profession is a veterinarian and my special interest is in reproduction, including artificial insemination and semen freezing. I have a canine semen bank at my clinic Vetmasters in Turku, Finland.
I have been FCI licenced judge since 1993. Currently I am licensed to judge all breeds in group 6, 7 and 8, and part of group 3.
Personally I love outdoor life and nature. My passion is x-country skiing. I have had hunting licence since 1987. I cannot say that I would be a hunter though as the occasions are very limited, but I have trained all my dogs minimum to the FCI working certificate level.
